Anita Rai joined Fox as a Senior Associate in January 2007. She trained at City firm, Vizards Wyeth, and in April 2000 qualified into the Employment Department where she practised until December 2006. Anita has experience in a broad range of contentious and non-contentious Employment and Discrimination work with particular exposure to defending stress claims and avoiding harassment claims. She has drafted and updated contracts and handbooks, dealt with restrictive covenants, implemented redundancies and negotiated exit packages. Anita has also assisted in significantly improving staff absence problems, both short-term and long-term absences, for a client. She has worked closely with Construction Sector clients and Financial Institutions such as banks and brokers.
Anita has written a number of articles including advising employers on the perils that they face during Christmas, data protection issues and how to treat atypical workers. Anita also prepared a well-received Guide to Employment Law for one of the largest High Street Banks.
