Anne Hughes joined Fox in October 2006. She trained and qualified as a solicitor at a large commercial practice in Leeds. Anne specializes in both employment and partnership work.

On the employment side, Anne works for both employers and individuals. She helps clients navigate the perils and pitfalls of grievance, disciplinary and dismissal procedures. Her experience includes advising on discrimination, unfair dismissal, breach of contract and data protection cases. Anne frequently advises on senior executive contracts and has experience negotiating senior executive exits.

Anne has worked on non-contentious matters for partnerships and LLPs, for example drafting agreements and assisting clients transfer businesses from partnerships to LLPs. She has also helped a number of partners make potentially difficult moves from one firm to another. She has a particular interest in restrictive covenants and team moves. Anne has experience advising partners with various types of claims, including discrimination claims and breach of contract claims.

Anne is an active member of the Employment Lawyers Association and the Association of Partnership Practitioners. She has written articles which have appeared in the Employment Law Journal and the Law Gazette on employment and partnership issues affecting law firms.

Outside work, Anne enjoys exploring London. She likes sampling new restaurants and fine cuisine! She plays netball and tennis for fun.
