Ronnie Fox
Ronnie Fox is the Principal of Fox and a Solicitor of the Senior Courts in England and Wales. He was educated at the City of London School and the University of Oxford. He qualified in 1972 at the City of London law firm, Herbert Oppenheimer, Nathan & Vandyk, becoming a partner in 1974. Ronnie founded and became the first senior partner of Fox Williams in 1989. He stepped down as senior partner of that firm in 2005 and the following year founded .Fox, solicitors in the City of London specializing in the law relating to employment, partnership and discrimination. He is well-known for his expertise in advising on corporate governance issues and negotiating departure arrangements.
The most recent (Autumn 2011) editions of the independent guides to law firms (www.legal500.com; www.chambersandpartners.com) feature Ronnie and his team in both the employment and partnership sections. He is referred to in The Legal 500 as "bringing outstanding experience, judgment and service levels to senior executives and corporates in relation to departures and strategic hires" . Chambers U.K. describes Ronnie as a Star: "he is highly strategic and gets excellent results".
Ronnie's contribution to the legal profession includes years of working closely with the Law Society of England and Wales (www.lawsociety.org.uk) . He has served on the Law Society's Employment Law, Company Law, Council Membership and Remuneration Committees.
In 1989 Ronnie received the City of London Solicitors’ Company Distinguished Service Award after chairing a Working Party on The Future of the Legal Profession. He was Master of the Company and President of the City of London Law Society in 1998/99 and continues to be a Member of the Court. He is the Motoring Correspondent of City Solicitor, the CLSC/CLLS newsletter (www.citysolicitors.org.uk).
Ronnie founded the multi-disciplinary Association of Partnership Practitioners (www.app.org.uk) in March 1998 and was its first Chairman ; he is now an Honorary Life Member of the Association. Ronnie is also an active member of the Employment Lawyers Association (www.elaweb.org.uk) and the European Employment Lawyers Association (www.eela.org)
He broadcasts frequently on radio and television and is often quoted in the legal and national press. His published work includes well over 100 articles and book reviews on legal and management topics together with

Ronnie regularly attends International Bar Association conference (www.ibanet.org) participating in meetings of the Committees on Employment and Industrial Relations Law, Business Organizations, Law Firm Management and Professional Ethics. He served as Chairman of the Practice Management Sub-Committee and is the immediate past Chairman of the Senior Lawyers’ Committee. He has spoken at IBA conferences throughout the world. In April 2010 Ronnie was the only male speaker at the World Women Lawyers’ Conference where he gave a presentation on "Rainmaking". In October 2010 he chaired a working session of the Senior Lawyers’, the Young Lawyers’ and the Law Firm Management Committees in Vancouver entitled "Climbing The Ladder: How To Progress In A Law Firm". In November 2011 Ronnie chaired a workshop in Dubai on "Fighting Discrimination in Law Firms".
Ronnie is General Counsel to Parkatmyhouse.com and a member of the Pall Mall Committee of the Royal Automobile Club.
His interests outside the law include opera; theatre; cinema; skiing; swimming; skin diving and scuba diving; motoring and management studies.
