Fox partner Catriona Watt recently commented on the likely impact of the proposals on increasing diversity in the sector published by London financial services’ regulators. The paper proposes a requirement to take account of adverse conduct by an individual in relation to diversity and inclusion as part of the ‘fit and proper’ assessment by firms and regulators. A focus on ideas to drive real cultural change to embrace inclusion is welcomed, and has sparked debate amongst senior leaders.
