Specialist partnership and employment law firm Fox & Partners has announced the appointment of three lawyers: Ivor Gwilliams and Robert Forman are joining the team as consultants, while Zahra McDonnell-Elmetri joins as an associate.   The appointments boost the firm’s capability across its employment law advice for employers and senior executives, as well as in its partnership practice and in supporting clients in SRA professional discipline and regulatory investigations.

Ivor Gwilliams has extensive experience in advising employers, particularly in the financial services sector, most recently as senior counsel at Millennium and before that as head of the London employment law practice at Weil, Gotshal and Manges in London.  Fox & Partners has seen considerable growth in the instructions it receives from employers and Ivor’s expertise will help support this trend and its focus in supporting financial services clients, particularly in the investment management and hedge fund space.

Robert Forman is a specialist regulatory solicitor with  a wealth of experience acting for firms and individuals in all aspects of Solicitors’ Professional Discipline & Regulation, and this will complement existing expertise in Fox & Partners’ leading partnership practice.  He is also co-author of The Solicitor’s Handbook (Law Society Publishing).

Zahra McDonnell-Elmetri is a New Zealand-qualified barrister and solicitor specialising in employment law.  She joins from leading New Zealand commercial law firm Buddle Findlay where she practiced for 2 years. Prior to this she practised at a leading specialist employment firm following qualification.  She has a keen interest in contentious employment law, and significant experience in alternative dispute resolution and litigation work, including appearing as junior counsel.

Partner Caroline Field comments: “We are delighted to welcome Ivor, Robert and Zahra to the team.  Demand for our expertise is strong across the board of our practice areas. The new team members will continue to bolster our reputation as a leading specialist contentious partnership and employment law firm, and particularly concerning our advice to the professional services and financial services sectors that are core to our business.”
