As the UK marks 30 years since the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) was introduced Ivor Adair explains that too many employers are still reacting to problems after they arise, rather than planning ahead.

He highlights that hidden disabilities such as ADHD, autism and dyslexia require a more nuanced, proactive approach. Clear policies, inclusive leadership and regular reviews of workplace practices are essential to reduce the risk of disputes and support neurodivergent employees to succeed.
