Fox & Partners’ founder Ronnie Fox is quoted in today’s Times (10 September 2020) in an article about the psychological and financial impact for partners retiring from a law firm.  Referencing Globe Law and Business’ recent Special Report “Partner Retirement in Law Firms: Strategies for Partners, Law Firms and Other Professional Services”, which he edited, Ronnie says

“Planning for succession and retirement involves facing up to mortality”.

He goes on to comment that smaller law firms, in particular, fail to plan adequately for partners’ retirement and that this can lead to acrimony, payouts and compromise deals.
