Ivor Adair and Claire Plumb have contributed this article to the Law Society Gazette reviewing the lessons for partnerships and partners of the Court of Appeal’s judgment in Joseph v Deloitte – a case concerning the compulsory retirement of an equity partner from the Big Four firm.  In particular, they consider the significant implications of properly construing and strictly following the terms of a partnership agreement with regard to compulsory retirements, especially in the light of the pandemic, and the challenges of remote decision-making and meetings.  You can read the full article here.
